Amnesty means 12 million more voters.....

How do you think they'll vote? Pro-US or pro-Mexico?

The answer: pro-Mexico and pro-open borders

I pay taxes....So why can't i own a simple drivers license? I have never collected welfare or any government support in my 20 years here in the United states, Why am i Not entitled to a drivers license, If i pay taxes just like the rest of you? So i guess i have to drive everyday, risking penalties for driving to work like an honest person...If i am not a citizen like you say.....Than why do you tax me? I believe your displease to many of us is Propagated. Walk a life in my shoes. Thats all.

Amnesty, yes. So that we can bring them out of the shadows. Citizenship, NO.

I'll accept some forms of amnesty rather that keep the status quo, no action at all.
Our lawmakers need to quit fighting among themselves and take action. Or we need to take action and vote them out.

Any amnesty would have to be limited and contingent not only upon border enforcement, but on restriction of future immigration from Latin America, there is 10% unemployment in this country, no one can legitimately argue there is any need for immigrant labor.

Still , Wouldn't you rather have them paying taxes and such as well? Instead of being paid under the table? If there are more than 50 million people out there illegally, just think about how much of that money could be going towards our government., Then we would have more funded government programs to assist the american people now, and it could in return mean lower taxes for everybody if the current illegal citizens are legalized. It would also insure a better future for everyone.

Why does the mexican government have a double standard?
Why can't people from central america illegally immigrate to mexico's southern border?
Why does mexico force them to go back?
Are they not of aztec, maya or inca ancestry as well?
Or is mexican racism against their southern brothers ok?
If mexico grants amnesty to 300,000 from central america,
then the US grants the same number of mexicans amnesty. Reasonable?

Immigrants often fit into the labor force in areas and occupations where there are insufficient numbers of comparable native workers. The fact that immigrants are often complements to the native labor force illustrates the absurdity of suggesting that removing immigrants would automatically lead to job openings for natives. This is based on the unrealistic view that all workers are the same and that workers are easily substitutable without regard to their location, occupation and work experience
