Hakeem is the only Dream. He played in the best centers era and dominated. He was the best in defense, among the best 3 in offense and the best center playing the ball. Dream dominated in the best centers era. Shaq dominated in the 2000s because all the competition was out. His rivals were Vlade Divac, Antonio Davis, Dale Davis, Brad Miller, Zydrunas Ilgauskus, Jamaal Magloire, and Ben Wallace. Shaq needed Kobe and Wade to win. Olajuwon's 94 ring was with role players only.

No center in the current NBA is even close to Kareem or Olajuwon

Wilt was just standing in the paint and got the ball then he scored cuz there was no 3-second rule, and a lot of Russells blocks was goaltending so they would not be nearly as good in todays NBA
-
People have to realize also is that game when wilt scored a hundred..yeah not the same rules as you see now a days. um yeah back in the fricken 50's and 60's, everytime your team scored, you had a jumpball, so chamberlin just scored everytime and then got the ball back every jump ball. so that stat shouldnt even be in the records anymore because of that rule.

Shaq has been a great player but to say that Russell and Chamberlain had no real competition is highly inaccurate. Willis Reed, Nate Thurmond, Walt Bellamy, Zelmo Beaty, Clyde Lovelette, Wayne Embry were all accomplished centers whose careers overlapped with Chamberlain's and Russell's. Don't forget that the league was much smaller in those days so they faced Bellamy, Reed, etc 5 or 6 times a year, By 1970, Russell had retired but Wilt now faced Jabbar, Hayes, Cowens, Unseld, Lanier
