With only one unit pulling, I'd think those cars wer all empties

@pdlip1 Lots of medium grades where as between Fruitland up to this location and north is all river (fairly flat) grade.

The head light in the nose was a MARS light back in the CGW days.
As for CP buying them. It's good for the railroaders as it's back to being a Class 1. I used to work back at the start of the IMRL days between KC - Davenport and then cut back to Ottumwa as the traffic started to grow. We could not make the trip all the way to Davenport. I ran this area a few times when they needed engineers in Davenports. The are was easy running compared to between KC and Fruitland.

In your funeral vid, ICE 221 is the final engine, longhood forward.
Shame really, she still sounded beautiful in this video.

It's too bad that 221 wasn't preserved. Being a rare ex-Chicago Great Western unit. CGW had some of the first examples of SD40's.

As I CGW fan, I am sad to read the SD-40's may be no more. I have meant to seek them out, and now it is apparently too late.
All of the ICE 200 series SD40s are being retired and scrapped, including 221. As far as I know all but 3 have been sent to Chicago and torched. 221 was one of the remaining 3, but they could be gone by now too, I'm not really sure. A lot can happen in 2 months, i guess...
