JACK RUSSELL TERRIER GINGER OPENS HER CHRISTMAS PRESENT

Our beloved Jack Russell Terrier Ginger opened her own Christmas present 12/25/08. She is hilarious. We just love her to death.

BTW, these small sized fire hose toys from PetCo are great for JRT's. They seem to last a little longer than most toys. She can still get to the squeaker but it will take her a LOT longer than most toys ... like a month or two. When it gets TOO torn up, then I toss it out. This is by FAR her very FAVORITE toy. She can even SMELL a new one in my PURSE when I bring one home from PetCo!!!! She is SO smart!!!! I swear PetCo must scent stuff in their store with doggie pheromones! o.O

Oh, I laughed hysterically when watching this! My JRT is seven and loves presents, but had not really thought of putting it in a box. Might have to try that this year!!

@chillyhil Yeah, now we have to put ALL of our presents on top of the piano. I'm afraid Ginger will think they are HERS and get into them while we step out. I video'd her again this year but this clip is the best. She just LOVES digging into the box! BTW, Ginger tears up ALL of her toys. The fire hoses from PetCo and those new unstuffed toys are best. I pull off the flannel eyes and cut off the tags before I give them to her or she will just eat them off LOL! .

@iEssential Technically I had two dogs as a kid, but she's MY first dog, all 17 lbs. of pure JRT Ginger Dawggie! She's now 8, but still my weedle baby. Check out my video of her jumping while my kids are trying to play pool hockey. They videoed it with their cell phones so we should redo it. It's pretty funny. Love this crazy dawggie!

@MeowEwowE My JRT Jasmine is really good about leaving the presents under the tree alone if she doesn't smell one for her. Christmas morning though, as soon as I got her presents out, you'd have thought the world was going to end it I didn't give them to her! I did wrap one in a box and she went to town ripping it open, so thanks so much for the suggestion! (We have to cut the tags off her toys too.)
