MoonFaker: TETR-A? What TETR-A?: Critique #4: Frank Byrne Revisited

Just when you thought Jarrah's claims couldn't get more ridiculous, along comes one that tops all the others. The fourth point that Jarrah makes in his TETR-A videos regards a comment I made about the Frank Byrne interview in Aron Ranen's "Did We Go?" video, which Jarrah included in his Exhibit D series. The sound level increases on Frank's last words and I suggested it was due to an increase in mic gain or the audio was mucked with. After berating me for not knowing how a camcorder mic works, he then performs a typical Jarrah White experiment showing that with a camcorder pointed straight at him, the sound level (he actually repeats my words, "mic gain") changes as the mic gets closer or farther from his face. Umm? So what? You don't have to be a photo analysis expert to figure out that Frank, like most of Ranen's victims, was wearing a lav mic.
Again, what does any of this have to do with his thirty-two claims? Absolutely nothing.

@Chesterton7 I don't question Ranen's honesty. And it's clear from his videos that I've seen, he has a sense of humor. My first impression was that "Did We Go?" was tongue in cheek, and the hype of being "xx% sure we went" was all in good fun to sell the video. As for von Braun, he was a war criminal, I agree, but a brilliant scientist nonetheless. Without him -- without the Nazi research that he was a part of -- the US would have been more than ten years behind the Soviets.

I was there when Ranen edited the Moon film and he didn't fake a fuckin thing. You've invested a lot of pride in yourself and in your arguments, so I know u won't be able to accept that you are completely mistaken about Ranen's stuff. It's fun to watch, though, and interesting psychologically.

@Chesterton7 Umm? I didn't say Ranen "faked" anything. I just made an observation concerning the sound level at a particular point in his video. The point of this video is that it doesn't matter "if" or "why" the sound level changed; it had nothing to do with the subject of using simulated data to fool MCC controllers during the Apollo missions.

You teach documentary Aron. Wow!! I mean wow. Usually documentaries are assembled on facts. You should have considered understanding the topic of the Apollo lunar landings before you produced 'Did we go?' I'd be interested to understand the primary reason for your belief that NASA was forced to fake the missions. Care to discuss. Or did you just believe you could make money out of telling falsehoods, like Sibrel, Kaysing, Percy and Rene before you?

What I would like to know is this; in Jarrah's demonstration of "Mic Gain," his pupils are almost fully dilated even though he's in a fairly well lit room. Not making a accusations, just stating that it seems a little weird to me.

The sound change occuring when the camera moves closer to Frank is suspicious to say the least, even if we assume shot gun mic mounted on the camcorder was used.

Jarrah White behaves like a bad lawyer trying desperately to defend very weak case by clutching at even most irrelevant issues.

I'd say "nice work Phil' except the low quality of your opponent's work makes your job so easy ( not really; no doubt a lot of time & tedium are involved even in dealing w/a jw)

I'll be surprised if anything changes w/his tactics. It's all he's got; put up a smoke screen of irrelevant or erroneous detail. Change the subject, evade the issue. Of course, his understanding is so poor, he probably believes some of the junk in his posts.
