Vibrato is natural ability of the vocal chords. They can do this under certain conditions. Sincerity, no fear, singing for yourself, inner force are some of the conditions.

  • Hi there! I have a question concerning my vibrato. I naturally (I think) have a very fast vibrato. It almost sounds like I'm a bleating goat. And I notice yours is much slower. My voval coach says vibrato should not be controlled, but how can I make mine sound NICE when i sing....and yet let it be free? It's just so fast......

  • @lamusica164 Thank you for your comment. If in the video "Sleep..." on your channel is you singing, I can say that your vocal cords are giving good vibrato. You need improve your singing and your vibrato will be beautiful. Love, Galina

  • How do I know if my vibrato is natural or artifical?

By the way, thank you for this. I'm practicing it everyday!

  • @thefieldwhereidied Vibrato can be good or bad. If the vibrato is good, it does not matter it is artificial or natural. The quality of a vibrato can be estimated using Sound Forge program. In the spectral analysis of voice with a good vibrato is a sine wave.

Thanks for the nice comment. Galina

  • what phillip defranco video does he reference this video in?

  • @RsChoas0wnage

    same w/ me :)

  • @lamusica164 hi, just listened to your sleep video. i used to have the same problem as you. basically, what you're producing isnt actually a vibrato, it's a result of poor technique but you can iron it out. the only reason your overly fast "vibrato" happens is because you are not singing with enough breath. make sure you are supporting with your diaphgram (you've probably heard it b4 but the breath is so important). also, be patient, your natural vibrato will be with u soon.

  • philly d sent me :)

  • omg lol

  • i only looked this up cuz of the phillip defranco thing.. lol
