Behold 2007

A different take on Behold.
Once again, this is not meant to glorify the destruction of the earth, nor necessarily attribute these disasters to God's judgement. A severe increase in these events is what Christ refers to when He speaks of the last days.
One might say we've only started documenting these events in the past 50 years or so and cannot speak for previous years, however it's the constant increase and severity in that 50 years that speaks for itself. These disasters are not slowing down, but are increasing every year.

As Christians, our thoughts regarding the earth should not be reckless or careless, but rather a sense of urgency that time is running out.

The quoted scriptures are pretty clear about a "new earth" and the old earth being "passed away". The implication in the text is more toward a second earth, rather than a simple regeneration of the first.
