The tradition of beating the heavy drums made of thick wood goes back centuries in Burundi (Central Africa) and is accompanied by an elaborate choreography. The drummers enjoy great popularity.
I was just in Burundi! I've been a drummer for 20 years, and I can say that when I went to drum with the Burundians I wad blown away. Magnificent drummers and musicians. I dearly miss this beautiful country with it's beautiful people.
c'est toujours impressionnant de voir les joueurs de tambours du Burundi , les tambours du Bronx n'ont rien inventé
