Thank heavens President Chikwete has changed his mind about a Trans-Serengeti highway, & given in to the pressure. So Serengeti will be saved!! I grew up in Tanganyika/Tanzania, & still love it dearly. My youtube video, called 'Speak Swahili, Dammit!' has original 1950's & 60's footage.On the same youtube site, I've filmed recent things, like Kilimanjaro with no snow, filmed from 30,000 feet by me in October 2010.

All this rich environmental & natural wonder could be lost to future humanity if the Tanzanian government builds a commercial road through the Serengeti National Park, as it will undoubtedly disrupt, and even destroy, our planet's greatest animal migration that has existed for hundreds of thousands of years.
Ironic that Enya's compelling and hauntingly beautiful piece - called "Audeamus" -sets the tone??? ("We shall dare"?)
