Rachel thank you very much for clearing this up, but isn't that slang and not appropriate when talking to people who aren't close to you ?

@suf123456 I wouldn't say it's slang. A more casual pronunciation, yes. But not reserved for close people only. "What you said was ...", "Could you help me ...": you will hear JJ and CH in these situations even in a speech, or conversation among colleagues.
