Re: The 5 Years Vlog

5 years ago I made a video to myself talking about how I was doing and then ask questions about how I was doing now.

5 years have gone by and it's time for a video response. I didn't respond on the exact day I was suppose to but it's pretty close.

It was inspired by my friend Freewingz who was among the first people to warmly invite me to Youtube when I first started video blogging. He made himself a video to himself to be responded in 5 years but sadly he passed away long before he could: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmPdh2EW45Y

The origonal video was made on my Dsc-p73 Sony Cybershot cam with a 128 megabyte memory stick at Televison resolution. Youtube was maybe a year old and limited you to 6 minute videos that could only be about 100 megs in size. The only quality setting was 280 which made made all youtube videos look gross

The new video was shot on my Iphone 4 which has 32 gigabytes of space and shoots videos at 720HD. Youtube is now either 6 or 7 years old and can display videos at 6 quality settings up to 1080HD. File uploads can be any size.

I shall follow up with another video to myself in the next 5 years.

Noel it surprises me too how things have gone but what also is amazing is how little you've changed in that time. I think, despite the last year's events, that you are happier now than you've ever been. Your efforts to make a happy life for yourself - - your martial arts training, dancing lessons and meetups to mention a few - - are highly credible. You're a good man Charlie Brown.
