Ghost video recording at Old York Hospital - Perth Ghost Hunters

A camera was left recording unmanned upstairs at the back balcony facing the stairs at the unoccupied & haunted Old York Hospital.
Unexplained footsteps are heard walking up to the camera and then walking away. Many people over the years have reported hearing footsteps while not seeing anybody including us. There was nobody else around. There is only 1 way out and we knew where we were at the time.
We have also experienced footsteps inside being heard on the top floor inside while on the bottom floor. Nobody was upstairs. Turn up your volume. This footage is real.

Interesting, send us a link. There has been people living there for a few years now. Before the current owners moved in, someone also lived around the back and kept an eye in and around the former hospital.

i use to live in the nurses house next to the hospital, one night my dad and his friends heard voices of a lady and someone else, the lady was going on about losing her mind... it is haunted

We heard of stories about the place but always concentrated our effort on the main building. We were told about a female that haunted the nurses house building by the caretaker.

......continued, to make it creepy the door was locked, so we tried the other door and that was locked too. we got pretty scared and eventually after trying the door opened. we reported it but the teachers to listen saying it was the wind. then one night i woke up to see all the curtains blowing up and down, as you know it gets cold in York at night so all windows and doors were shut. i wasn't sorry to leave that place

I stayed there for my year 10 school camp for a week in 1990. we heard noises and we tried to scare each other but nothing really happened. then one day, a group of about 10 of us were in the boys dorm, and i decided to walk to the toilets, as i came to the door which was open, it slammed in my face just missing me. the door was open and against the wall so there was nothing behind it, what makes it stranger is that the door on the other side of the dorm slammed at the same time........

I only know what my brother & his mates witnessed there years ago........one mate heard another mate calling him from ahead but when he ran forward his mate was running from behind having heard his name being called. They were all pretty tripped out but addicted & used to go there quite often. I parked up out front once or twice but had an awful feeling & saw dark orbs so wouldbn't venture in :-)

@74SeaShell My encounter what i saw last month or so ago was, like you, seeing an old fashioned woman in the upstairs window but second from the right..... after reading a few of these comments Im starting to feel a little bit scared living in York....

@joeliv3y I live in York and I saw the exact same thing! I wasnt quick enough to think about getting a photo because she was just standing there and slowly drifted away from the window....I just stood there and stared - completely mesmerised!

@nworb Hey there I went on a school camp to the Old York Hospital in 1985, and there was a documentary team staying there filming at the same time.. Us girls stayed in the old maternity ward, and the boys stayed in the upstairs dorm in the main building. We were meant to stay a week but ended up leaving after a few days when weird things happened. My final memory of that place was looking out the back of the bus and seeing an old fashioned woman in the upstairs window second from the left..
