Nate Koch, piano.

This may be the most well known Schubert melody and totally deservedly so!!

I have to thank my friend Roy for encouraging me to really bring out the trills when they occur low in the the bass (e.g. 1:22, 3:50). I was being really timid with them because I didn't understand them, but when he told me to just totally go for it, they finally made sense to me :) I think it ends up really highlighting the beauty of the quiet moments around them.

  • thumps up if you heard this on smallville

  • @baldgenius01 What do you mean?

  • How beautiful! I feel...at peace, relaxed, light! But my heart is not without a longing or want of something, when I listen to this. It is as if one is speaking, no, singing, a story of their life through this song, how it is a sad yet joyous thing.

    That's what I think.

Your interpretation is astounding - the emotions portrayed, the story told, the use of control yet flowous movement, the business yet uncluttered sound - everything is so wonderful!

  • Thank you so much! You are too kind. Glad you enjoyed it!

  • @natachu444 The character Lex Luthor in a superman series called Smallville was an avid classical music fan. He usually played Schubert, Chopin, et cetera, on the piano. That's what @baldgenius01 meant. :)

  • @MrAdriandipsf Please see my previous comment.

  • @PANDAbeaarrr It is not a Song. Its a impromptu, it is a free-form musical composition
