Continuing a brief look at Ross Poldark . I do not own copyright to either the BBC production of poldark nor to the characters created by Winston Graham. http://poldark.org.uk/index.html
Jane Wymark played in Poldark but not as Delmeza. Demelza was played by Angharad Rees. Wymark played Morwenna Chynoweth/Whitworth, the cousin of Elizabeth who is forced to marry the Reverend Whitworth by her family because he is the right class. Whitworth is a huge pervert who eventually sleeps with her 15 year old sister. Wenna really loves Demelza's brother, Drake Carne.
Sigh. I was 18 and all sorts of horrified when I watched that season of Poldark.
I've just found out this is the actress who plays Joyce Barnaby, the Inspector's wife in Midsomer Murders - I would never have recognized her in this!
you did a great job with editing in the important bits in this, helping me to catch up.
I started to watch it on 'Yesterday,' only last week, and am now hooked by it.
[I remember my mom watched it on Sundays in the 70's, but I was too busy socially then]
But missed it at 4pm today - thought I could watch it at the later showing of 7pm, only to find that must be for those who pay subscription, and don't just have Freeview.
