After one (1) year of un-shakable usage and performance, I thought it is time for a change-over of my 0-rings, since I could not get my velocity up. In fact, I had a 50 FPS DROP when I changed my pistonhead. It was a combination of multiple problems! And it wan't my port-and-polish of my K2 all steel cylinderhead. It was the nozzle not being able to enter the hop-up chamber for a good nozzle seal. It probably was caused by slam-chamber when I got pissed off at my rifle when my bolt couldn't lock back.

  • I hate that little O ring. Those PDI guys sure are evil.

  • @808Kameleon i am getting a pdi hop up chamber for my type 96 and this is my first time replacing a hop up chamber. i was wondering if the pdi chamber i am buying comes with parts in it or i would have to take parts off the stock hop chamber and put it on the pdi. also i was wondering, would a pdi chamber that you buy comes with o ring and the pressure bar. again if you know what parts i would have to put on the pdi hop up chamber.

  • @marfnugget The PDI hop up chamber comes with all the parts. But the o-rings, you have to assemble it yourself. Everything on the stock hop-up has to be removed, and a new inner barrel has to be purchased along with an AEG hop-up bucking. Here is the cool thing! You can now choose your inner barrel length, either 495mm stock, 500mm, 509mm, and I am using a 534mm. And you can use 6.05 for distance shooting, 6.03mm for more accuracy and impact, and 6.01 more more velocity and accuracy!

  • How do you port and polish the cylinder head? I have had similar problems with my stock cylinder head going into the PDI hop up in my Maruzen before. After you fixed that problem, has your gun worked and shot well? Im just paranoid if I do the drill bit stuff that I'll mess the hop up up somehow.

  • @Graymawr The port & polish process, I HAD it on YouTube, but I had a DROP in velocity, so I had that video removed, only to find out it was a combination of my piston head being shrunked in diameter, and a faulty field chrono....

It was all done with various sized drill bits and Dremel sanding stone, and various grit sandpaper.

And after I bore out the hole of the burs (probably caused by someone I let to shoot my rifle, and he slammed the bolt back), it fired flawlessy, and accurately!

GREAT question!!! In a way, I WAS waiting for this type of question! Here is the items I left STOCK.

The frame, the outer barrel, and the lower receiver. The bolt, and the bolt end cap, the original trigger added to my K2 trigger assembly, and the safety switch itself, added to my K2. The bolt end cap screw is still good, so that is also stock.

The cheek rest is still stock, and the detachable bipod mount I am using to mount the monopod out front. That's it!

  • great video, i now that gun is still treating you well after 1 year

  • how much of that gun would you say is still stock?
