"Crawling" is a song by the band Linkin Park. It is the fifth track from their debut album Hybrid Theory (2000). It was released in 2001 as their second single and won a Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance in 2002.
"Crawling" is one of the songs on the album that contains very little rapping: Mike Shinoda only has one line that gets repeated in the pre-chorus.
The lyrics might signify the effect of crystal meth, in which the user has the sensation of insects "crawling in their skin". The lyrics also describe somebody who goes through panic attacks, in which the victim, during the panic attacks, cannot control what's going on, and in a way loses his/her grip on reality. The song could possibly be about how Chester Bennington used to be an addict.
The video was directed by Brothers Strause. It portrays a young woman's inner conflict dealing with an abusive relationship. The woman (portrayed by Katelyn Rosaasen) closes off to the rest of the world, represented with the special effects of crystals forming around her. By the end, the crystals recede, symbolizing her success in fighting the relationship.

Crawling (en español, Arrastrándose) es el segundo sencillo de Hybrid Theory, álbum debut de la banda Linkin Park. En este álbum ocupa la pista 5. Fue lanzado el 1 de mayo de 2001. Un versión demo se realizó durante la grabación de Hybrid Theory, que contiene un intermedio con rap de Mike Shinoda, luego del último coro. "Crawling" ha ganado el Premio Grammy a "Mejor Interpretación de Hard Rock" en el 2002.
Es una de las pocas canciones de "Hybrid Theory" que contiene el rap de Mike Shinoda, quien solo tiene una línea que se repite en el pre-coro, además de ver en el video tocando instrumentos.
TEMA DE LA CANCIÓN: La letra de "Crawling" describe a alguien que pasa por ataques de pánico y adicciones, en el que la víctima, durante estos, no puede controlar lo que está pasando, y de una manera, pierde su control sobre la realidad. Esto hizo creer que Chester, en el pasado, pasó por esto.
