A Bass tribute to the late "Great" Malachi Favors of the Chicago Art Ensemble. R. Jess Brown, Jr. and Malachi Favors were friends, they played together in Kahil El' Zabar's goup out of Chicago and toured Europe together on several A.A.C.M. projects which also included Lester Bowie, Ed Wilkerson, the 8 Bold Souls, Steve McCall and other members of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians.
Brown stated that Malachi Favors was a major influence in his life.
