This latest video shows a quartet of locos running on the railway, with two of them being recent acquisitions - namely the Class 25 and 33. We are currently ballasting the London terminus so are not running trains in that part of the layout until this work has been completed.

The 24, 25 and 33 will be used to haul trains up the branch to Lake End and that is why we were testing them to see how they fared.

As well as ballasting at Sueston, we have also replaced some of the old points with express ones, as can be seen in the video, and we have been working on the scenery under the viaduct and along the other branch line to Saggy Bottom Halt. This is coming along nicely and hopefully soon, we can post a video of this.

  • Hi samlakes, thank you for your interest and the background is actually a series of photographs that I took of Buttermere in the Lake District. I then joined them together in Photoshop (with a bit of fudging) to produce this panorama. It was printed on my inkjet printer, joined together and then laminated and measures, approximately, 3m x 30cm.
