@purerogue386 Actually, lines provided through Revolution are Spectra, made by Laser Pro Gold, if I am not mistaken. The stock revolution handles are made from a hollow tube of stainless steel, with the exception of the Pro handles made by LS Custom Kite Accessories. The Rev 2 is still in production. The kite you may be referring to is the Backtracker. It was an odd little twitchy thing that was made cheap and meant for beginners. It was discontinued. While fast, the Rev 2 can be controllable.

They lines that come with a Rev are kevlar. The grips are aluminum with black form pads molded on. They stopped making the Rev 2 because it was too hard for folks to learn on. I made the mistake, but once I figured it out I was hooked as all the other four line kites were too slow after learning on a Rev 2. The Rev 1.5 seems to be the happy medium.

Am i a beginner? :) Mostly, yes. This vid was my first time touching it again after 12 years back when I flew it a lot for one summer.
Is the REV 2 for beginners? The Rev 2 isn't something that you'll just pick up and NOT bash into the ground a bunch of times before you get the hang of it. I've bashed it a bunch, and now my wife it beating it up pretty good. So far no breaks other than one line snap as it very forcibly dragged me through the sand in high wind.
