New York Times bestselling author Thomas Woods makes the case for voting for Congressman Ron Paul in the Iowa Straw Poll on August 13.

Woods holds a bachelor's degree in history from Harvard, and his master's, M.Phil., and Ph.D. from Columbia University. He is the author of 11 books, which have been translated into a dozen languages. He won the $50,000 first prize in the Templeton Enterprise Awards for his book The Church and the Market.

  • @httm241 Banks make absurd loans BECAUSE of government involvement, including government deposit guarantees, government increases of the money supply, etc. Worker safety came about because society became wealthier. OSHA was preceded by decades of tremendous progress against workplace injuries; if anything, that progress has slowed since government involvement. "Fair pay" is not a clear enough concept for me to reply to.

  • im all for freedom but there is no such thing as 100% freedom. i believe corporate regulation is necessary as a way to stop banks from making absurd loans or worker safety and fair pay
