Lotus Temple Briefing in English followed by Hindi.
Before visitors are allowed to go inside, volunteers 1st brief all visitors what the purpose of this temple is, as many people are miss informed or don't know what this place signifies. They explain a little bit about the Baha'i Faith and the founder Baha'u'llah. The Importance of prayer and why we do it. The rules that apply once you enter inside and can ask questions about the faith to the volunteers at the exit door. Briefing is done in two languages Hindi and English and majority of visitors will hopefully understand one or the other. Over the years the Lotus Temple briefing used to be very short and simple but in 2010 March this all changed and a new Briefing was put together to explain more indetail of what this temple and faith is all about.

English briefing excerpt

"Namaste, and welcome to the Baha'i House of Worship. The Baha'i Faith is an new independent world religion whose purpose to unite all people in one universal cause and common faith. Baha'is are the followers of Baha'u'llah who we believe is the promised one of all ages. The Inside hall is meant for silent prayer and meditation for people of all religions. You may sit and pray for as long as you desire. Prayer is like a loving conversation with God our creator, it's like a ladder that brings us closer to God. Prayer is like a fire that burns away the veils that have shut us out from the beauty of God, a light leading us unto the ocean of God's presence. According to the Baha'i Holy writings there is nothing more sweeter in the world of existence than prayer, man must live in stay of prayer. So why do we pray? In the highest prayer men pray only for the love God, not because they fear him or hope for bounty. In this most blessed condition we must be completely focused upon God while detached from ourselves and the world around us. Privacy and Silence are required in these moments of devotion. We ask you kindly if you have mobile phones or cameras please switch them off right here, no photography inside. If you would like any information regarding the Temple or Baha'i Faith you can collect free pamphlets in your own language at the exit door from our volunteers as well as visit our Information center or visit our panel exhibition downstairs. Thank you and welcome."
