Malvina Tam Mei Wah was born in Hong Kong and started ballet training at an early age. She gained a BFA (honours) degree at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts(HKAPA), majoring in contemporary dance and choreography (2003-2008). She was awarded a full grant from the Hong Kong Jockey Club, one of the most prestigious undergraduate scholarship schemes for outstanding local students. She has toured with the academy performing two dance pieces created by John Utans and Jaime Redfern in Brussels, Den Haag, Berlin, Frankfurt, Vienna and Singapore. After graduated she actively involved with local dance company whose she worked with DanceArt, Y-Space, Biuguk and Unlock Dancing Plaza.
Malvina pursues her performing career as a professional contemporary dancer after graduation and moved to London in 2009. Since then she has worked with Clod Ensemble(UK), Shobana Jeyasingh Dance Company(UK), Bawren Tavaziva(UK), Rhiannon Faith:dancingtheatre(UK), Tempered Body Dance Theatre(UK) and London College of Fashion with Anton Mirto(IT). She has also made her debut commerical apperence with Love Amongst Ruins for two of their music videos.
She is now a freelance dance artist and pursuing a MA in Intercultural Studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
