Take John and Ken Off the Air

For more than a decade, John and Ken, of the John and Ken Show on KFI AM640, have been insulting and attacking anyone who does not agree with them -- now, they are even encouraging listeners to call ordinary citizens' cell phone numbers to intimidate them. These traffickers of hate speech have been terrorizing Los Angeles' Latino, Asian American, African American, Jewish, and LGBT communities, creating an atmosphere of hate and intolerance and legitimizing intolerance and discrimination against members of these groups.

The most recent example of this is John and Ken's attacks on CHIRLA and its representative, Jorge-Mario Cabrera. On September 1st John and Ken began ranting about CHIRLA's support for the California DREAM Act. The duo provided Mr. Cabrera's office and personal cell phone numbers and encouraged their listeners to call and harass him. Mr. Cabrera proceeded to receive over 430 abusive and threatening calls. Many of the callers repeated John and Ken's exact words, and then wished death upon Mr. Cabrera and/or threatened his life and his physical safety.

Because John and Ken habitually use unsubstantiated claims, divisive language, flawed argumentation, and dehumanizing metaphors to shock and anger their audience; it is time for Clear Channel Radio to take them off the air.

What's funny is that J & K DID NOT promote any kind of violent calls to poor Jorge!! J & K have over 1 million listeners and have absolutely NO CONTROL over what anyone says when they call people. They have a 1st admendment right to say what they say and just because you don't like it, does NOT make it "hate speech". Sorry but it doesn't. The highest amount of signers I have seen is around 1,000. Well there is at least 750K people that would sign to keep them on the air!! Good Luck!! lol
