13 Step Chen form was condensed from Old Frame One by Zhu Tian Cai (taking into account principles of the ancient 13 postures).

  • Dear Kispa you have misunderstood the situation.

Copyright helps people understand we would not be happy if they download this clip and post it publically somewhere else without our permission. This has happened before hence the message.

For your own personal growth you might like to reflect on why/what strong internal emotions caused you to misinterpret/misunderstand what is really a small and innocent thing.

  • What is the meaning of "indoor disciple"? Vis-a-vis some disciples being "outdoor"?

  • "Indoor" means formally/publically chosen by the Master with a public (Tea) Ceremony and provision of a formal Certificate. Thus indoor disciples can actually prove their lineage.

In older times an Indoor disciple actually lived with the Master and worked/cleaned for him in return for food/lodging/special training.

  • That was very nice! Grand Master Zhu tian cai is my grandmaster. Although, I am not an indoor disciple. :-( I know this form as well.

It may just be the video, but it is very hard to see yin and yang in your Buddha's warrior attendant pounds the mortar. Oh, and i am referring to the vertical silk reeling part. (pre and post stomp). And like I said it just looks that way. Regardless, your performance was very nice.

  • Hi, thanks for the comments. Not sure what you mean by yin and yang in the pounding? People usually seem to mean grounding of the legs(substantial and insubstantial) or do you mean something else? Of course Oliver has yet to develop significant evidence of internal skills but his externalised yin/yang leg grounding does seem good enough to me from the video.

  • Clearly he has studied his master well, but the double weighted stances leave you wide open to a kick in the nuts!

  • Groin is protected from a kick by arms or a quick knee raise. Obviously a knee raise is not possible at those time one is double weighted (nevertheless a change to a walking stance, along with an arm guard, is very quick). In a fighting situation (if it ever has to go that far) one obviously doesn't use form steps that are "slow" or inappropriate to the situation.

  • How can you copyright Taiji? Does not make any sense. Even if you are ascribing the copyright to the 13 'movement's'. It's like Bikram trying to copyright or trade mark yoga. Taiji and Yoga belong to the ages. How can you patent a tree ?
