  • @VasilyKiryanov You're 100% correct. That said, the MG42 really is technically better due to the fact that it was belt fed and had a much more intuitive barrel changing system (the DP is a nightmare to re-barrel in a combat situation).

I'm genuinely unsure of why Degtyaryov chose to go with the Lewis style pan system when he could've just as easily used a modification of the Bergmann MG15 pattern feed system to make it belt fed.

  • @ThriftyCougar look at the numbers: MG42 That means it was put in use no earlier than 1942. Before that main MG was the '34 one, designed in 1934. This "here" MG is of 1927 year of design. Feel the difference.

  • Germany got DP'ed in WWII... =D

  • still not as good as the mg 42 not coming from game experience or something dumb the mg42 was very accurate and very fast no gun can beat it

  • @zap234 but its such a fun game!

  • if u run out of ammo use that big ass disk thing and throw it.

  • @MrGunkid i so lol'd my coffee out my nose.... ty

  • pizza gun!!!

  • I know it shoots rifle caliber ammunition and therefore has all the advantages of this that pistol ammunition of the PPSh-41 does not. The poster Thatevilmidget suggested using the PPSh-41 instead of the DP-27, and I said both had their place. If there was a choice of a weapon other than DP-27 than I would say the AVS-36 Automatic Rifle, it could be used as a Platoon level Automatic Weapon, and was in some situations.
