Only in America would EMPATHY be seen as a bad trait in a person, especially a leader. Empathy simply means the ability to put yourself in someone else shoes...it SHOULD be one of the most important traits of a leader.

I'm sure most of these guys received a stern talking to from their owners... Reason has no place in mainstream reporting, if you want to keep your jobs, you better stick to the talking points and stop trying to interject rationality...

While Olbermann is very partisan, I really don't see him or Maddow flagrantly lie about people, like Rush going on and on about Obama "not having" a birth cirtificate, or Michael J. Fox not taking his meds to win a sympathy vote for Claire McCaskill.... That's pretty outrageous. If you can name a Maddow or Olbermann statement that can equal those Rush statements, I will not argue...

Ok, well then why do they also point out fallacies by Chris Matthews and others on MSNBC, or New York Times? Seems to me that Media Matters is necessary because all the lies seem to come from the right...
