@ExternalTooth Wow, you are lucky to have met him. I am extremely jealous, no joke. He became my favorite guitarist the moment I watched the first video of him I found on youtube. He inspires me to keep practicing.

@ExternalTooth I knew Shawn when he was 15 years old and I was about 18 maybe. We came up together in Memphis and then I became a record producer in Nashville and I used him on a record. Miss him being here.

ur right....Shawn was a sweet human. I knew him well and worked with him off and on over the years. he was generous and patient with others players..... really humble.... much less amazed by his talent than we were.

@DogCatchersBand love youtube for that very reason! his musicianship is untouchable and everytime i go back this or any shawn vid it still keeps me guessin and on the edge of my seat.

Let us not forget that Lane was a gifted piano player as well.

I was so lucky to have met Shawn and gotten the chance to hang out with him for a couple of hours when he was in Burlington,Vt. He was a nice person with a great sense of humor, and very well read. His skills on the guitar are still keeping people in awe, and thanks to youtube, younger players and music enthusiasts are able to enjoy the fruits of his labor. RIP Shawn.
