Hockey Night in Barrie 3 brought top-notch hockey players to the city of Barrie to entertain a sold-out Molson Centre and raise $200,000 for the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre on August 12, 2010.

The game featured many former and up-and-coming hockey stars, including Mike Gartner, Aaron Johnson, Wendel Clark, Troy Crowder, Steve Thomas, Matt Beleskey, Gary Leeman, Darcy Tucker and hometown-boy Shayne Corson.

Special guests Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Don Cherry dropped the puck before the game and then went behind the bench of Team Blue to coach.

The event raised $200,000 for the cancer centre, part of the Phase 1 expansion at the Royal Victoria Hospital.

Barrie MP Patrick Brown, the event's organizer, thanked the crowd for helping make the event such a success.
