In this episode, we find ourselves in Virginia in the middle of the site of a large Civil War Union Army winter camp. Here we have located an old corduroy road bed at about 4 feet down, give or take a foot or two. On this beautiful day many remnants of the Civil War would be unearthed. So grab your shovel and come join the dig!

This is the one that I submitted recently into a film contest. Thanks goes out to everyone that gave me suggestions on which clips to use.

  • Very cool

  • Great research and great finds. Congratulations. First time I have seen a corduroy road--think it would be nice to preserve it (keep trench open) so people can see it!

  • @2coop2 Retard, you are the same type of person that would ban metal detecting on the beach. What about all the rusty nails, bottlecaps, batterys, and other trash I pick up when I go out? Is it better for you that that stuff remain out there because your ilk got to create some rules to control other people?

  • @mudslideslim This site is now a parking lot? That's sad.

  • @2coop2 Idiot.

  • Is this in staffored , va??

  • My Great-Grandfather was in the Indiana Infantery during the Civil War. He told a lot of stories of the war before he passed away in 1937. Great findings.

  • and one or two of the lines are crooked, doesn't look modern

  • nice finds, i found a old bullet or most likely a minie ball, wich where used during the civil war, they where introduced in 1847 or 1849, but it's small, and has a grid pattern, can you please send me an email to help me identify what it is? my dad might identify it before you, try to send me an email before friday (now is august first)
