Surfer rescue at Hookipa Beach Maui

After a surfer lost his board in the big swell, the fire department had to send out a helicopter to pick him up, during a great sunset and rainbow in the background.

Ha, that was me. What a dork! The rip was pulling me away from the sandy beach, and I didn't want to swim in where the rocks were getting pounded. Thank you Maui Fire Department! Here's what my board looked like afterward.
