how did you time everything?

You can time how long a slide holds / set triggers / control speed of animation and slides in powerpoint - just google it and you'll probably find some good tutorials. Also, for exact timing I popped the entire video file after capturing into a video editing software to create slight slow-mo or cuts to make things match perfectly to my song.

You convert powerpoint into Flash and then you can upload it on youtube.

Yes - or the way I did it, I used a software called Camtasia to capture what was happening on my computer screen into a video file (i.e., play the powerpoint on my computer, it gets recorded into a video file). That is also a helpful software when you want to record "screen activity" (i.e., mouse moving around and clicking on stuff) for a video. Also, I used the free trial version.
