This is hardly a fair criticism of a video that is clearly entitled "The Future I Want".

This kind of future can only be possible when we understand why our leaders talk instead of leading, why they are so corrupt, and why we keep falling for their lies. We will continue to make excuses for them until we learn that their nature is fundamentally different than that of a normal person. There is much evidence that they are psychopaths - a term that is very, very misunderstood. It does not mean violent, it does not mean insane. It means they are without conscience.

haha, the only way to get to the top is through corruption, even if you forced yourself up there clean, you'd be taken down in a second.
this girl is competitive, wants to win all the time, wants attention, and she knows way more than a normal 17yo should. If I'm her parents I'd deem myself a failure, because I didn't lead my child to a proper childhood, I brought my child into this dirty society before maturity.

Brittany I find your video to be incredibly inspiring! I kept thinking about these closed loop cycles you speak of. As a freelance videographer I'm considering creating a documentary that discusses all the available possibilities that are being neglected. Kinetic energy is everywhere and we need to recycle it. From the shoes we walk in, to treadmills we run on, and the cars we drive, every motion we make can be recycled. By innovating everyday products on a mass scale we could change the world.

Brittany, what about human population numbers in relation to poverty and environrmental issues.
What about the environmental consequences of 'too many people', which is a factor in both poverty and environmental issues. The responsibility is on all of us, your lifestyle choices matter. That's you Brittany, your lifestyle choices matter. Are you taking personal lifestyle responsibility? Are you just going to complain to others or are you going to act by your lifestyle of choice.

Yes, we do have the largest part of our electricity generated from renewable sources. With a concerted effort involving conservation and greater use of wind,PV and even geothermal, we could easily move to 100%. We are blessed with a great wind resource, high sunshine hours and lots of hydro capacity. Unfortunately our leadership is quite unimaginative. They have been promoting NZ as potentially the Saudi Arabia of the South Pacific and trying to attract FF exploration companies here.

New Zealand is like a microcosm of other western countries. We have our own disinformation network, the Climate Science Coalition, which has received funding from the Heartland Institute. At the moment we have a centre right government which doesn't take environmental issues seriously. At the same time there is a large section of the community that do understand the urgency. The NZ Green party received 11% of the vote at the last election.
