This video is a compilation of most of my favourite performances of Christina Aguilera's hit song 'Beautiful'. Included are her performances from CNN, Stripped DVD, Back To Basics DVD, T4 Special and the 2004 Grammies. Enjoy!!
NOTE: I realise that the tempo of the CNN performance is different than the rest, but i simply couldn't bring myself to exclude it. It is a fantastic performance.

I think what it is is that she would rather play it safe than to not hit the note just right. In the recording studio she can do it over and over until it's just right but singing live is a different thing. By that note in the song everyone listening is so immersed in it that if she would hit it wrong it would kind of blow the mood for everyone. So she keeps it low and hits it perfectly.(This is my theory for what it's worth!!! :P)

The reason why I believe Christina does not hit the Notes in the original recording is Because she did Beautiful In one Take, But after she did not really like the way she recorded the song and Linda Perry would not let her do it over, so i think she just sings the song Live the way she would had recorded it if Perry would had let her do it over...IMO she puts more emotions when she sings Beautiful Live then when she did in the studio.

LOL. You KNOW she hasn't. She's never hit the G in 'and EEEEEEverywhere we gooo' or the F# from 'SHIIIIIIIIINE'. She's never even attempted them as far as i know. Which is sad, yes, but i still LOVE her live performances of the song.
