You know I respect a Boxers abilities at what he does. Hell, you practise one thing for 20 years and ofcourse youère going o get damn good at it. But to say that Boxer can destroy an MMA fighter on their turf? Thats the most ignorant thing to say. Im sick of people not understanding that Boxing is just a small sliver of what MMA is. AND that BJJ and Wrestling are the antithesis to Boxing and the answer to winning.

It's not apples and Oranges. it's standup vs grappling. it's that simple!! wich style is better vs the other. Groundfighting is superior. the groundfighter doesn't have to throw 1 punch to beat a Boxer. the boxer can't stop the takedowns with punches/boxing skills. the debate is over, it's been over since 1993. i was on the side of boxing and didn't want to admit it but after i watch the firt 2 ufc's i knew that groundfighting is the superior skill.

This is after the fact. All boxers were singing a different tune before the fight saying its all fighting. Now its apples and oranges. Toney chased and begged to get his ass whooped.

Why do people try to make it seem like it matters if a boxer beats an MMA fighter in boxing? That is a 1 dimentional aspect of fighting so a guy who can beat a guy where 1 dimension is permitted equals in significance to a guy beating someone in fighting where all aspects are permitted? The logic of people sometimes is really off compare boxing to wrestling or jiujitsu not MMA you look stupid and ignorant if you bring up these dumb comparisons
