@Immortal1000 I agree with you on that point, kids today are truly missing out with the sort of cartoons we grew up with that taught life lessons in various ways.

This was by far my favourite episode of the Tarzan series. That huge Mammoth was so sinister! I especially liked the fact that it was so much bigger than the elephants pulling the bridge!

They should continue with this cartoon!

Whenever I hear the name Tarzan...I think of this great show. Watched it all the time when I was about 6 or 7, and loved it all: Tarzan's voice, his graceful acrobatics, and how he communicates with the animals. And who could forget that darling monkey N'kima? I so wish this was on DVD...:)

While my parents hated that I loved TV so much as a child, I feel that I learned a great many lessons about life in the shows I watched. From this, respect for the power of nature, from Fat Albert - how to understand people different from you, and from Bugs Bunny, an interest in classical music and a love of sly humor and satire. Kids need shows like this now!!

He was also, of course, the voice of "Thundarr the Barbarian."
-
He also did the voice of Gen. Ross in the 1980s Incredible Hulk cartoon series. I wish both series were on dvd. Oh well, maybe someday. lol

TLOTJ is a classic. Even today the quality of their animation comes through. Japanamation is all well and good but this sets the standard.
Too bad this show is no longer on the air. Kids today are missing out on great cartoons.
