  • Personally I would live with the little extra weight, those holes will fill with crud making dissasembly to clean it a must, but everyone has their own thing.Awesome Idea and

    Great video!

  • Man nutnfancy is all about the weight... seriously that's got to be less than an ounce saved from a few holes on the non locking side. I wouldn't do it even if I had the tools because I would worry about fudging up the steel strength and I'm sure it is put together in the factory better than I could re-put it together, but whatever floats your boat. This knife really 5.2 with zytel handles ??? That seems super heavy!!! That's more than my benchmade 710!!! I still want this knife though

  • I'm tempted to drill mine. I just purchased a drill press last week.

  • What was it weight after this drilling?

  • Ummm, we all have our personal prefs, but seems to me like it would be much easier just to carry on less round of ammo.

  • MY EARS!

  • do you wear, like, paper pants with no belt or something? an ounce here, an ounce there,...i don't really see/feel much of a difference. I mean there's a big difference between a 2 ounce knife and this 5 ouncer, but a decent belt should keep it from weighing you down. sometimes a heavy knife feels ''better'' in the hand.

  • he will do both sides similar to the 'spiderco ATR' It will have a significant weight reduction over standard, once hes finished. See spiderco atr.

  • I've been taught that helps to step your way up to that size bit.

In his case only 2 different sizes would be needed.

  • No offense of any kind to NutNFancy.... buuuut.... he wouldnt make a great millwright...... Eeeeek.

What you need here is a HHS drill bit and a centre punch. Centre punch first, as well, dont jump up and down. Just slowly drop allllll the way through. Also remember - drill speed = 200/diamter of drill bit.

  • I just bought one of these knives on ebay, 25 bucks plus 5 bucks shiping, can't beat that. Im gonna try put mine on a diet when I get it as well. Ole' Buddy up top doesn't like the idea of drilling into the frame of the knife, however, it is a thirty dollar knife.
