Lubrication is also necessary after riding through rain or on wet roads or anytime the chain appears dry.. Apply oil to the sides so that it will penetrate to the rollers and bushings. Apply oil to the O-rings so that O-rings will be coated with oil. Wipe off any excess oil.

  • You should invest in a aerosol chain cleaner, and clean the chain before you lube it again, that way you aren't coating road grime in new chain lube.

  • fucking awsome MUSACK

  • @FatGirlsSmell Kerosene or Diesel is the best for cleaning chains and it's pretty cheap too..

  • @k0ent Because I just bought a bike. Coming from a car background, I had no idea that lubing the chain was necessary. Now I know how.

  • HEAVY METAL MOTORCYCLE MAINTENANCE!!! |w|

  • omg why would you make a tutorial about how to lube a chain....

  • i usually just turn it on and drop it in 1st gear when it's on the rear stand, and i spray it on the chain as it's spinning on its own

  • yeah... you lube that chain you dirty boy ;)

  • wow that was so fast, i usually spend like 20 minuts cleaning the chain and re oiling it

  • @ezmode01

you can lube a chain withoud stand

thing is with a stand is just a lot easier than walking around with your bike

especially if you dont have a lot of space to do so..

i bought a paddock stand for 50 euros about 40 dollar i think

and its also great for chain adjustment

and storing your bike when you're not driving it for some time(winter)

  • @JimmyGunXD556

    exactly

  • Im lucky, my bike has rear stand and regular stand built in
