An excerpt from the first movement of the cello concerto of Hungarian film and classical composer Miklós Rózsa, recorded by cellist Brinton Averil Smith with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and conductor James Sedares from a 1998 Koch release.
"While Rozsa's music uses a complex and relatively dissonant language, the music is still melodic and full of romantic gesture." Not only well put, but very aptly describes exactly how I like my music. Awkward yet still fluid and lyrical.
Well presented. Interesting that this is a pre edit version. The orchestra has a crisper sound than is generally the case for the NZSO recordings. Hope you can post the rest.

Good video, very informative. It'd be great if you could put the rest of the concerto up!
