@monkeynim1 Look up Kermit on Sesame Street. A Muppet is a puppet created by Jim Henson. Originally merchandise for SS said Featuring Jim Henson's Muppets. Today Disney owns The Muppets, but from the 2001 of the sale of the SS characters from the Jim Henson Company to Sesame Workshop, the characters on Sesame Street are still Muppets. The credits now say The Muppets of Sesame Street, and acknowledge Disney's The Muppets Studio owns to the trademark Muppet.
