mouse click speed

(Excuse my english.) I know it's being a long time but it can probably help (since I found this page in january 2012, other can find it too). This is a mouse problem. My double-clic speed (on PC) was at the fastest speed, I just changed it for med and the problem is resolved (and it change my life)...

Mine randomly started doing this and its helluvva annoying. I have no idea how to fix it. Did you ever figure it out?

The Fix:
To re-create the#Photoshop#preferences file:
Quit#Photoshop.#
Rename the Users\[username]\Library\Prefe
rences\Adobe Photoshop CS5 Settings\Adobe Photoshop CS5 Prefs.psp folder to Adobe Photoshop CS5 Prefs.old. Start Photoshop. Photoshop creates a new Adobe Photoshop CS5 Prefs.psp (This is for a mac, sub out cs5 for whatever version you have)

The only think I was able to figure out was it had something to do with the account. I created a new account on my Mac, and it worked fine on that account. Must have been some kind of glitch that happened when the account was created or something. That's about as technical as I can get. :P Good luck!

Well, I never found out why it was doing it, but I did find a solution...
I created another user account on my Mac to see if it would do the same thing. Well, it worked fine in it. I tested it over a week or so, seeing if it would repeat the same behavior. Fortunately, it didn't! So, I moved my files over to that account and I haven't had to deal with the problem since.
