Tuberville is building his program, it takes time to get his players etc. Just as it will take a little time for leach and other new coaches at their programs. Plus you would be unwise to just say it was the worst season and not talk about all the injuries and walkons playing and wrs playing cb. This is due to bad luck(injuries) and terrible defensive recruiting from previous coaching that left the stocks bare. Look at recruiting that has gone on since the new coaches. Best in the

  • Tech beat Nebraska 70-10 when Nebraska coach was Bill Calahan when Neb was terrible. Beat Texas twice in 10 years, and in 2008 was when he has his best team. In 2008 had the chance to win big and get tech to a bcs if he could only beat Oklahoma and then got routed by OU, only to later get stomped in the cotton bowl by an inferior ole miss team. Coach Leach also lost to a lot of bad teams (colorado, tcu, houston, etc). Look I like Coach Leach, he produces a consistently winning team, but he will

  • @dallastx4445 He beat nebraska 70-10, upset #1 texas, upset oklahoma a few years before that. His teams always have potential.

  • I'm not piling on coach Leach, I like the guy. Always have liked him. Just pointing out his flaws, as any coach has. If you followed his career at tech you would have to be blind to not notice his flaws. No one is perfect. Leach will always coach a winning program and be exciting, just hasn't won big before. I think he is a good fit at WSU because they will be happy with 7-6, 8-5 yearly seasons. Good luck Leach and WSU! I will watch your team but am really glad that tech has a new and in my opi

It is sad that you want to continue to pile on Coach Leach. He is a GREAT coach and he is certainly not overrated. You, my dear, are an immature hateful person who wants to continue to smear his name with lies. How sad you seem to be as a person!!!! I wish you lots of fun with Tubbs!!!!!

  • So excited for Washington State! They've hired an amazing coach, and, as Bill Moos stated, a fine man. Congratulations!

  • Thanks for hiring the best guy to hit Lubbock since Buddy Holly. While we are stuck with the High Plains Dribbler, running the ball at 3rd & 19th, many Tech fans will be tuning in to watch our beloved air raid back in action. I guess people bad mouthing a former coach just comes with the territory as the Auburn blogs are still burning over the train wreck Tuberville caused. As Leach said yesterday, "The truth is the truth and those who don't know what really happend are misinformed"

  • Looks like the Hance's Spaeth goons are at it again. Before Mike Leach, Tech was the team you scheduled for homecoming. During Mike Leach there was the feeling in the stands that no game was out of our reach.Post Leach,We're a laughing stock.A team that hasn't been this bad since the Jerry Moore era.

We'll miss him at Tech. But,I'm glad in a place that not only only sorely needs him but will appreciate his talent.

  • I see that the Hance/Tuberville forces are out still creating their spin zone and hitting their talking points, even in the light of the fact that Tuberville doesn't even know all his players names and number assignments. You would think that ending our bowl streak with a losing record would be enough evidence of Tuberville's lack of coaching ability. Be Happy Cougs!- you got both a real one and a good one. The fun in Pullman begins! ;)

  • Contender? When did Texas Tech contend for anything under leach? One year (2008) out of 10 seasons. That is not a contender. WSU be ready for a high scoring offense with a terrible D and very undisciplined team (lots of penalties). Also be ready for a coach who is late a lot, not a good recruiter, and one that looks for other jobs every off-season. I liked Leach, hope he does well but he is overrated by some as a head coach. So glad Texas Tech has Tuberville and like what he is building with hi
