An original song for February Album Writing Month about The Simpsons. I know it sounds awful; I'm starting to lose my voice, and I had to limit the number of takes I did. I still have two more songs to write!

In your lyrics "Takoma" is spelled "Tacoma". I live 30 miles south of Tacoma, WA. Just an FYI. Great song!

@supersonicman15 On The Simpsons, at one point it was said they lived in the state of North Takoma. If only it was so simple that they lived in Washington. Hehe!

@live2tivo I'll have to take your word on it. I assume the reference is to Tacoma, WA cense Matt Groening graduated from the Evergreen State College, Olympia, WA (my home town)

@supersonicman15 It's probably a nod to that. He took a lot of the last names from streets in Portland, where he grew up, so he probably took from other places he lived, too.

And, in a recent episode, we learned there is a spot in Springfield where the borders of 5 states meet. The 5th state, I'm guessing, is the one Springfield is actually in. "Cartoons don't have to make sense, they're just stupid drawings made to get a cheap laugh"-Homer S. (oh yeah, liked the song. Even when it's not at its best, your voice still sounds pretty darn good!)
