  • I'd love to have a road course event one year where the four or five ringers were the champions of the World's Touring Car series - ie. BTCC, WTCC, DTM etc. - to see how they'd match up against NASCAR's finest. Mattias went over from the DTM last year and he did a good, professional job - though a little of his NASCAR inexperience did show here at the end, but that was to be expected. The NASCAR regulars seemed to have no major issues with him and that was good to see. :-)

  • That was clearly Ekstroms fault. He took himself out.

  • @LeontariF1

glad to see ur appreciation of nascar and im an f1 fan and fan of other motorsports but kyle said that because ekstrom which was making his 1st nascar start from DTM so he has to bump the more experienced drivers when they race them dirty to earn respect and to show hes not a pushover

  • I used to think these cars looked ugly, but now, with the spoiler, they almost look as cool as the old cars. They kind of look like the cars used in the late 90's, early 2000's, real big and bulky, unlike the 2005-2007 cars which were real slim and speedy-looking. Either way I love NASCAR! !!!!

  • Ekstrom will never let that happen again.

  • @LeontariF1 lol So there is no crashing allowed in any other racing?

  • @xmn86 First of all, I have a huge appreciation for NASCAR racing!!!

Second, my point is on the rules of the sport, listen to what Kyle is saying at 0.40 "he brakes early (Mattias) and lets No.12 drive on the outside of him" essentially preventing a crash and then "a cap driver would have let the car wash out all over the 12" and then at 1.06 he says the "the 12 would have been out on the dirt because the 83 would have slammed it out of the race track" that sounds pretty intentional to me!!!

  • @LeontariF1 The style of nascar racing promotes contact because there's so many cars that get so close. The contact was not intentional that's just how it can be. It's not always penalized these cars have low levels of down force compared to all those racing series because those cars are designed that way so their maneuverability is much greater so they can avoid making contact easier than these racers can. Call it what you want but it is still racing and has a lot of skill involved.

  • @xmn86 You should watch a couple of races and then comment about F1. Also, I never mentioned F1 in my comment; in ALL kinds of road racing (DTM, V8 supercars, ALMS, FIA GT championship, 24hrs of LeMans etc) you CANNOT purposely crash on someone in order to advance! Even in the go-karts if you do that you get black flagged, you need to use skill in order to pass. If you ever get any racing experience you will understand how it feels to get bumped and thrown out of the track unfairly.

  • @LeontariF1 thats racing.... f1 is follow the leader...the ferrari team is an absolute joke as well for using team orders..its pathetic and the only passing is within the first couple laps..its horrible
