A musical genius without doubt. I loved his music deeply when I was young, and still do. That said, I read on the liner notes to the latest Carly Simon release that it was Cat Stevens who was the subject of "Your so vain". I can easily see it. He was always a bit too "perfect" in his album photos. But so what, Beethoven, Piccaso, Ellington and too many other geniuses to count were a little narccistic too! People are full of contradictions. The bad doesn't cancel out the good. They exist together

I've never understood the animosity towards this album. I thought that the music was, if anything, interesting and a nice change of pace. Actually, I would say that Novim's Nightmare was one of the best things he ever wrote!!
On a side note, it is so great having him back!:-)
