  • What's the diff between a manba and banba?

  • @Rannikku Banba has lighter makeup, tan and more barbie-looking style than manba :)

  • @purplezora lighter tan? arent they ganguros then?

  • @AngelParadiseKiss No Ganguro is the style that was before Manba and Banba, it died out a long time ago.

  • @purplezora yea i know...but ganguro (the style) still does exist...and they are also really..dark tanned

  • @AngelParadiseKiss Ok? Cus I have been interested in this style for many years and I havent seen any pictures of the style that is not old. Everyone I know that has interest in the style also agree that the style is dead. Do you have any sources for that the style is still alive?

  • @purplezora I can say for sure that in anime at least, ganguro gets more reference.

  • @purplezora well, I'm not the same guy that originally started the conversation, but i do follow JP culture closely, speak the language well, have a few friends there and occasionally watch the dramas and anime....

there are still a ton of references to Ganguro (the ridiculously dark skin, blonde/silvery hair, white lips, etc.)

Just heard about these styles recently though, as it's a subculture. but yeah, Ganguro is still alive, but manba/banba/gyaru-kei is more prevalent,

  • "YAMANBA(MANBA)" is the ghost appearing in the Japanese old tale.

    They live in the mountain.

Their figures are old women and they eat humans.

"YAMANBA(MANBA) makeup" was popular in Japan in the latter half of 1990's.

And in the times, the brutal crime that teenage youths commit occurred frequently.

  • D:'

  • name song please~

  • People who think these girls bed tan are stupid. They spray tan with dark foundation.

  • @purplezora huh? o.o i´m not talking about if the style is dead or not...just that the style "ganguro" still does exist o.O theoretically not practically!!!
