Taken at the International Wolf Center in 2008.
The Dominant Male tends to do what he wants to do. They were fed meatballs which contain some leftover puppy food, prolactin, vitamins, Glucosamine, about $800 are spent on vitamins.
Maya is whining because she is wanting to spend time with the pups.
Shadow begins a rally howl which was nice and got the pups trying to howl.
Lakota is now 15 yrs, since her sister passed has had the run of the place, is called a lab wolf because she likes to spend time in the lab watching what people are doing and stealing puppy toys.
She will likely be staying in the lab when the temperatures hit 30-40 below.
Minnesota has around 3,000 wild wolves over 41,000 sq. mi. in the forested region of the state, mostly in the NE. Please keep our wild area's pristine by not developing, polluting or littering for one follows the other.

Lakota you will not be forgotten
you will be greatly missed

  • Here in Arizona, Mexican Grey wolves are native to this area. They are trying to reintroduce them but they are not doing well. Poachers are one of the problems that they face. There are only about 50 wild ones left in the world. They are the most endagered mammal in North America. :(

  • I am so glad that you posted this video. I loved hearing the wolf chorus! I am also glad that there are that many wild wolves in Minnesota.

  • Aiden is my favorite pup. I saw him on the Wolf Cam when he was in the puppy den. OMAIGOD HE WAS SO CUTE!

Lakota is my favorite wolf there. Nice to know they'll be putting her inside when it really gets cold.
