It's a powerful song and I feel this arrangement is not right. The original by Jon & Vangelis and then subsequently covered by Quincy Jones for Donna Summer has the sparse synth stabs and regimented sequenced bass allowing the vocal to soar over it. It just does not work as an acoustic piece - it is defined by it's instrumental, sonic quality. To just wash over it with a mush of guitars and vague riffs is a diservice to the original atmosphere.

I've always been a great admirer of Andrea Corr's voice and she certainly does justice to this cover version. It's worth pointing out that this was originally written way back in 1981 by Jon and Vangelis. A lot of people will remember the previous, more successful cover by Donna Summer. All versions are excellent but the original edges it, in my opinion.
