When you come across such a wonder of nature, such an old being that has survived for such a long time, a beautiful creature, what do you do? Of course, you KILL IT! This is so greedy, stupid and sad. If you had even offered him to an aquarium you would have enabled it to spend the rest of his life quietly and would have made so many more kids happy and wondering - instead you kill the goose with the golden eggs for 1000 bucks. That's not honorable, but hey, you're just a stupid fishmonger.

@Ocliptos Your an idiot, what separates Humans from a Lion is we have Intellect to know respect for something so old. To be able to comprehend what struggles this thing had to go through to survive to the age it did. IF the story was about a shark eating a 100 year old lobster I guarantee the outcome of these comments would be much different. Its the fact that people did this, people who share the same sympathies and compassion's that make us all human where able to do such a savage thing.

I completely agree with y'all who are against killing it. The thing is ancient and was lucky enough to have survived for 100+ years then we humans come in and greedily smother its life away for a profit. God knows how big of a pot that would require...could have even made its death worse then the average lobster. Regardless its F-ed up that anyone could kill such a ancient creature. A true loss.

boiled for three hours, it's take 5-8 to boil a lobster adding about a minute a pound after that.
