YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE (CAROUSEL)

"You'll Never Walk Alone" is a show tune from the 1945 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, Carousel, which later became a film (1956) starring Shirly Jones and Gordon McRae. In the musical, in the second act, Nettie Fowler, the cousin of the female protagonist Julie Jordan, sings "Youll Never Walk Alone" to comfort and encourage Julie when her husband, Billy Bigelow, the male lead, is killed during a failed robbery.
