Tell The Radio Hall of Fame To Not Honor James Dobson.

The Museum of Broadcast Communications has announced it will induct right wing extremist James Dobson into its Radio Hall of Fame. Dobson runs a so-called ex-gay program and has said that allowing gay people to marry will destroy the earth. In the past two years, at least seven researchers in three countries have accused Dobson of distorting their research to back his anti-gay teachings.

Unless the Museum reverses its outrageous and offensive decision to honor this dishonest demagogue, Truth Wins Out will join the Gay Liberation Network and a coalition of Chicago organizations to protest the annual Radio Hall of Fame awards dinner.

The protest is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 8, 5:30 PM 7:30 PM, at the Renaissance Chicago Hotel, 1 W Wacker Drive.

E-Mail Radio Hall of Fame CEO Bruce Dumont, brucedumont@museum.tv, and urge him to withdraw Dobsons honor.

I am an evangelical christian and i have been for over 23 years. I am tired of other christians such as yourself picking out one or two passages from the Bible and elevating them. There are many things that God says is an abomination...here are a few...lying, greed, gossip, hatred. None of us is good enough..thus the need to Jesus. Stop hating! Stop using God to spread hate! Whether or not Dobson was inducted, I think he needs to undergo a BIG change of heart, just like the mother these two were referring to, Mary Lou Wallner. After her caughter, Anna Wakefield took her own life in 1997, she herself changed for the better and began educating people as to the pitfalls of homophobia and also began standing up to Dobson. Dobson, himself needs to change, sometime before his time comes.

Fundamentalist "family values" include the duty to beat your wife if she is disobedient and the duty to throw your kids out on the street if they are gay. Such "family values" are responsible for up to 40% of teenage homelessness.
